Pre-Treatment Instructions

For best results, it is advisable to avoid sun exposure and the following products and procedures at least one week prior to their treatment:

  • Electrolysis
  • Waxing
  • Depilatory creams
  • Laser hair removal

And to avoid the following products 2-3 days before treatment:

  • Any exfoliating products
  • Any products containing Vitamin A (Retinol)

Also, any products that may be drying or irritating, including products containing Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acids including Glycolic Acids.

Contraindications

  • Active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts in the area to be treated
  • Dermatitis (i.e. rashes)
  • Allergies to salicylates (i.e. aspirin)
  • Use of Accutane within the last year
  • Those who received chemotherapy or radiation therapy
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Additional concerns include wounded, sunburned, excessively sensitive skin and inflammatory rosacea.

Sun Burn Alert: This product contains a blend of Retinoic Acid, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Resorcinol and other active cosmeceutical ingredients that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use of a sunscreen of SPF 20 or higher, and limited sun exposure after use of this product and for a week afterwards is recommended.
